Gorontalo Dekranasda Encourages Pohuwato Small and Medium Industries (IKM) to Grow Through Creativity

​ ​ Pohuwato Regency, Kominfotik – The Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Gorontalo Province continued its roadshow to develop small and medium industries (IKM) in Pohuwato Regency on Tuesday (11/18/2025). The activity was focused on scouting and strengthening potential IKMs to be directly fostered by Dekranasda. ​The visit of the Chairwoman of the Gorontalo Provincial Dekranasda, Nani Ismail Mokodongan, was received by the Chairwoman, Vice Chairwoman, Executive Chair, and administrators of the Pohuwato Regency Dekranasda. The first point visited was IKM Binangkit in Motolohu Village, Randangan District, which is known for its flagship products: donuts and banana bolen (pastries). This IKM’s products are in high demand, even extending outside the region. ​The journey continued to the Pohuwato Class IIB Correctional Institution and was received directly by the Head of the Institution, Fahmi Rezatya Suratman. Nani assessed that the handicraft works resulting from the creativity of the inmates show extraordinary potential despite being carried out in limited spaces. ​Nani stated that the creativity of the inmates is an asset that needs further development.
